The above pieces are from my work with the USC Roski '25 BFA Senior Thesis cohort for our thesis show, titled "always to be found." I presented 3 pieces in the show, which I collectively titled "spirits yearning for understanding" due to their connected themes of communication, miscommunication, and language. For the install, the curators, Xyla and Georgia, suggested I have my pieces next to each other in a corner of the space, allowing the world building of the pieces to intertwine with each other. I built a wooden stand to hang the jacket from along with a structure to hang from the ceiling to drape a curtain around the installation of "color-coded." This installation created an intimacy for the experience that solidified the "alternate world" of the website.
